2018 Year in Review
The Big News
We are welcoming a new addition into our family early next year (no paws on this one!). We feel so lucky to be growing our family and can’t wait to see him or her stretch those limbs in person! #thisisastrongone
Happy Highlights
Watching the A’s during Bark at the Park with Tyler’s dad, sister Louisa, and Maria.
1 - Sunny participated in AKC Rally training at Petco (and learned a ton of helpful tricks), Tyler tried his hand at skydiving(!), and Lauren took up bellydancing (shimmy, shimmy).
2 - Tyler and Lauren became board members of our home’s newly organized HOA. This means we spent a lot of time this year creating documentation and tracking finances in a whole new way. We are incredibly thankful this is getting done before Baby Brandt arrives!!
3 - We learned Sunny’s ancestry - He’s a fourth Shih Tzu, a fourth Maltese, a fourth Chihuahua, an eighth Bichon Frise, an eighth Miniature Pincher, and 100% companion dog. No terrier here!
4 - We started a new family tradition of celebrating the Summer Solstice (with Baby Brandt even!), a holiday we can enjoy without any traveling at all.
5 - Speaking of travel, we were able to sneak in some Washington state Babymoon adventures at the halfway point of the pregnancy. Exploring the Pacific Northwest and getting some quality time with just the two of us was just what we needed.
6 - For Halloween, to stick with our family costuming tradition, we included Baby Brandt in our Waitress theme this year, featuring Tyler as Dr. Pomatter OB/GYN, Sunnydale as A Wild, Wild Berry Pie, Lauren as Jenna, and Baby Brandt as Lulu still on the way!
