Hot Days, Playdates, and Splash Pads
This summer was our hottest one yet, even by Portland standards!
We had several days when we had to stay indoors to keep out of the record high temperatures, but when it was safe, one of our favorite things to do was to play in the water.
El checked out several nearby splash pads at the parks nearby, but getting our own splash pad for the yard was a whole new level! We hosted a couple playdates in the yard and even welcomed our Alameda friends for a visit.
As fun as it is though, we better have some rain come soon, if for no other reason but to give us a break on our water bill!! 😬😅
