That's a Wrap on House Work for 2023

As we prepare for some time away from home in just two weeks, we are happy to finally be done with all the house work for the year, as it was a lot. The new roof and gutters went up in May and we closed up that project with a much needed window cleaning and pressure wash.

The roof and gutter work was a lot different than our experience in the Bay Area. We had to do a lot of the chasing to confirm scheduling and get the followup needed this time around, so we’re glad it’s not something most have to deal with multiple times!

We added a bench to the front of the house and, since ripping down the vines revealed some damage, we got the deck outside of Tyler’s office refinished as well.

We also got an energy assessment that revealed a few projects we knocked out, in the hopes of reducing the amount of gas we use in the winter. It’s a long overdue upgrade for this 100-year-old home.

We’re ready for this vacation, for sure!!
