May 1 Achievement Unlocked: Our First Family Car

Tyler and I have a big driving adventure coming up this summer and we realized a while back that my VW beetle, Lady, just wasn't up to take on such a long drive. We started checking out the cars around us more and looking up stats online, until finding the Mazda3 5-Door, which has a svelte look, despite its roomier interior.

We were prepared to get a similar used car, since we had a limited budget, but when Tyler found MyHopscotch, our options changed. All of a sudden we were browsing through new models close to our price range, and when we also threw Lady in for a trade, we landed a 2017 Eternal Blue 5-door barely over our preferred budget!

We drove up to test drive the same model and called MyHopscotch back immediately to finalize the details!

Two days later, this blue dream arrived at our doorstep and we signed the paperwork, made the payment, and said our goodbyes to Lady.

Over the years, Lady had become a drain on our savings and, with Sunny in tow, the 2-door access and limited storage made traveling to family events extremely difficult. With the extra space and better access to all parts of the car, we're really looking forward to our road trip this summer and many more still yet to come!
