A Golden Birthday & our first Friend-cation
At the beginning of the month was El’s fifth birthday. Since it fell on the fifth, we threw her a golden birthday party with a full house of guests for the very first time! She was over the moon about the whole thing - a custom-made vegan cake from Gluten Free Gem, hand-folded gold stars by Meemaw, and a home full of play, crafts, and all-around merriment. Truly, and especially for a now-five-year-old, it doesn’t get any better than this!!
We also traveled to Mt. Hood and rented a home to spend three nights with our friends for Spring Break. The two eldest kiddos got to go skiing with the dads and the younger two stayed back to soak up the cozy cabin vibes. El had so much fun that she even drew a portrait of her playmates on the drive back home. We can’t wait to do it all again!
