I'll Meet You Up There
Over the past several months, it’s been Christmas roadtrip to Fresno with the kid and pup; grandparents visiting us at home; and our first flights (to and from San Diego) since the end of 2019. All the while dealing, off and on, with snow and the various sicknesses that comes with preschool life. We feel loved and overwhelmed and overwhelmed by love.
🚙 Going to California
On our December roadtrip, we made a stop in Dunsmuir, at our favorite Airbnb from last August, and played in the snow before making our way to Fresno. Once in Fresno, we had five straight days of socializing with great grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
✈️ Took my chances on a big jet plane
For the first time as a family, we hopped on some planes to San Diego for nine days, where we got to visit with grandparents, aunts, uncles, big puppies, and so many friends! Eleanor got a lot of quality time with family, while Mama and Daddy got some time off to be Lauren and Tyler for a bit. It was the perfect reset for us going into the end of the school year!
🌻 Love in her eyes & flowers in her hair
Meemaw, then Nana came to visit for a combined 16 days to help with all the days off from school that we were facing. Between scheduled days off, back-to-back sicknesses, and the subsequent snow days, we felt like Eleanor hardly went to school at all from November to April. Now that things are thawing, we’re all more than ready for some more flowers and sunshine to hopefully ward away these winter illnesses for good - fingers crossed!
